I'm not using my account here and want to get rid of it but apparently there's no function to delete an account....Several mails to the "Email Support" didn't get me any further since I never got a reply to my question on how to delete my zooomr account!
Any help would be appreciated.

Ok, but this still doesn't explain why one gets no answer when mailing to the support team asking to have an account deleted!!!

i've read elsewhere on Zooomr that if we need anything to contact support. but as far as i can tell, support is a black hole. i'm not aware of anyone ever getting a response. i also know that other users who need tech support will start tickets on the knowledge center:

as for deleting accounts...it's been argued that (paraphrasing)"there's no harm in keeping your Zooomr account open. so, why not just leave it?" I disagree with this but that might offer some insight as to why it's not a feature.

the only way to get your account closed is to get Kris to delete it. you can try zmailing him or posting to zipline. i can't speak for him as to whether he'll do it or not.

The EMail Support page feeds you two e-mail addresses:

zfeedback@bbridgetech.com and zooomr@xbs.co.jp

Unfortunately, Kristopher (or whoever made the change to add in zooomr@xbs.co.jp) didn't realize that they did it wrong.

They're passing in zfeedback@bbridgetech.com, zooomr@xbs.co.jp, which is valid, but the e-mail address " zooomr@xbs.co.jp" probably doesn't exist.

Note the space, " zooomr@xbs.co.jp" and "zooomr@xbs.co.jp" are different addresses.

The space (or the ) need to be removed:
Location: mailto:zfeedback@bbridgetech.com, zooomr@xbs.co.jp

This has been the attitude of Zooomr since the beginning, no reason to expect a change. Legally, they should be attackable on this point, but nobody is going to waste time doing that and they know it. Plus they probably don't want to see their user base decrease, which would inevitably happen.

At least, play it fair, dammit!

I have signed up a year ago and ever since then have been using Zooomr at all.

Just recently (after receiving newsletters) i deleted all my photos on this site (after some of them were reported 'unavailable' anyway) as well as changed user details, real names and email addresses.

What's the point of having dead profiles (like mine) all around? Can i have my account deleted please?

I’ve come back to Zooomr after a year-long hiatus. Since coming back I noticed Kris and Thomas still post photos here, but there doesn’t seem to be any communication from them to the rest of the community. I didn’t think it was a good sign the blog hadn’t been updated since the summer either. I’m not outraged or anything, just a bit disappointed with the lack of updates & interaction. Am I the only one that feels like this? Surprisingly, there are a lot of really good photographers still posting here so all’s not lost yet I suppose. I just find the whole thing odd.

Oh snap, I thought I was the only one, I am sure this site has loyal users, I just don't like the wonkiness of the site design, the fact that I cannot delete the dorky looking founder kristopher from my contact list, and that the upload process feels like poking a fork in my eye, this isn't a bad site, but to not include a "Delete my account" feature is just irritating on so many levels. I have a pro flickr account, which I am pretty happy with, and even the free accounts I have are more user friendly than this site. Like I said, I am sure some people love it, just not me, so please for the love of Tom and Jerry delete my account, please!
